FAQs

Q: Why can’t I install the talkSPORT app on my device?

A: 

iOS

Our app can be used on iOS15 and above, although we recommend that you stay up to date with the latest operating system if possible.

We routinely test on some of the following devices, as they are our most popular:

iPhone iPhone XS, 13, 13 Pro, 14

We do not actively support tablets currently, although you can run our smartphone app on iPads.

Android

Our app can be used on Android 8 and above, although we recommend that you stay up to date with the latest operating system if possible. 

We routinely test on a mixture of the following devices:

Android: Samsung Galaxy S10, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, OnePlus 10T, Samsung Galaxy S23

We do not support Android tablets currently.

Our app works best with your default browser set to Google Chrome.

Q: Why does the audio sometimes stop on Android when I open another app or when my phone goes into standby mode?

A: To save battery, sometimes the Operating System on your phone kills our app when it hasn’t been opened in a while, even if it is actively playing audio. This is something we are looking to resolve, however in the meantime, you can try turning OFF “Power saving mode” in Settings on your device as this might resolve the issue.

Q: Why can I not hear Premier League commentaries via the talkSPORT app?

talkSPORT has three rights agreements with the Premier League

  • One for the UK 
  • One for Republic of Ireland
  • One for The Rest of the World (Ex UK & Ireland)
