Next Leeds United manager odds: Daniel Farke becomes odds-on favourite for Championship challenge

There's lots of movement in the betting for the manager at Elland Road at the start of the 2023/24 Championship season.

Patrick Vieira was the odds-on favourite late last week but talks have moved and now Daniel Farke has taken over in the odds with .

There's a large amount of uncertainty in regards to what route Leeds United are going for with their manager - as they need someone who can get them straight back up into the Premier League.

But the club will always be able to bring in big names as they attempt another monumental task.

Lee Bowyer made 203 appearances for the Whites between 1996 and 2003 but has drifted in the betting to a 20/1 shot.

The former Leeds United player admitted he would love the chance to 'get the club going again'.

Bowyer revealed on talkSPORT he has 'exchanged messages' over the Leeds job for the final four games of the season.

Appearing on the White and Jordan show, he said: “Without going into too much detail, there was a message or two exchanged, but the decision from the club was to go with Big Sam because of experience.

“Unfortunately for the football club that didn’t work out, but going forward, I’d like to think that we would have a conversation at some stage and maybe try and put something together.”

But it's Farke, the German manager who managed Norwich City between 2017-2021.

Farke oversaw getting the club back into the Premier League in the 2019/20 season but were relegated the following campaign.

But the manager helped steer the Canaries back to the top-flight once more with a club record 97 points but struggled again once promoted before being sacked in November following a string of terrible results including a 15 straight losses.

But the 46-year-old certainly knows how to do well in the Championship.

The former Crystal Palace manager and Arsenal midfielder Vieira, is now out to as high as 9/4 with the bookie with other contenders also drifting out, with the managers 12/1 bar.

The Frenchman doesn't have experience in the Championship as a manager, and was with Palace between 2021 and 2023, after managing Man City EDS, New York City, and Nice.
