Gervonta Davis comes into the fight as the current holder of the WBA (Regular) lightweight championship belt, and has previously held multiple world championships in three different weight classes.

Nicknamed 'Tank', Davis is currently ranked as BoxRec's second best active lightweight boxer, and will take a 28-0 record into the fight, of which 26 of those wins have come by knockout.

The 28-year-old's last fight came back in January against the Dominican Hector Garcia in defence of his WBA lightweight title, in which Davis won by retirement after eight rounds.

Davis' opponent on Saturday night, Ryan Garcia, will stand four and a half inches taller than the former IBF super featherweight and WBA (Regular) super lightweight champion.

Garcia held the WBC interim lightweight title in 2021, and goes into the fight ranked as BoxRec's sixth best lightweight boxer.

The 24-year-old has won all 23 of his professional fights, with 19 of them coming by knockout.

The American, nicknamed 'King', last fought in July last year, when he knocked out Javier Fortuna of the Dominican Republic in round six in Los Angeles.

The fight is billed 'It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This' and Davis heads into the weekend as the odds on favourite at 5/14 at the time of writing, with Garcia priced at 11/5.
