Australia vs Nigeria predictions
Nigeria drew 0-0 to Canada in their opening tie in this group, Australia on the other hand just claimed victory 1-0 against Republic of Ireland last week.
It seems Australia are on a decent run of form and don't really look like squandering that any time soon.
They even beat England in their penultimate preparation match before securing a 1-0 win over France just a couple of weeks ago.
Nigeria won't go down easily but it's going to be a tough task with the home crowd surely being an advantage at this stage.
Australia vs Nigeria betting tips
Australia over 1.5 goals -
Australia look like taking this game fairly comfortably and will at least net a brace against Nigeria if their recent form is replicated.
The Matildas have a couple of key players that will be tough to stop from scoring.
Sam Kerr is among the most consistent in the WSL for scoring, with 21 goals in 22 matches in her first full season for Chelsea.
She's also used to scoring World Cup goals which seems to be a bonus bit of experience going into another, but will still be recovering from a calf injury.
Caitlin Foord to score first -
Foord moved from Sydney to Arsenal to play in the WSL in 2020/21 season and has since scored 20 goals for the Gunners in the league.
She's yet to replicate that goalscoring form to her international record but will suit this game and will be amongst the starting XI once more with Kerr still out injured.
But Foord did score in the 2019 World Cup and it wouldn't be surprising to see her find a few chances against Nigeria playing off the shoulder well.
She netted against Brazil which helped Australia overturn a 2-0 score line to eventually win the game with an incredible comeback to win 3-2.
