Newcastle United odds: Relegation imminent according to bookies after Norwich City draw but still 6/1 to be next club for Jesse Lingard, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele

Newcastle United haven't helped their relegation battle with a draw against Norwich City on Tuesday evening in what was a crucial six-point game.
As a result, the Magpies are now well-fancied to take the plunge to the Championship despite their recent takeover from the Saudi-led consortium.

That takeover though has meant speculation has been wild in who Newcastle can sign in the January transfer window in a bid to save the club from relegation.
Numerous names have been thrown about since while rumours are rife but they are now, , just 6/1 to sign former Liverpool winger and Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho.
The same odds for Ousmane Dembele as the La Liga side could be looking to offset some big wages this year with their own financial troubles.
Manchester United and England forward Jesse Lingard is also set to arrive at St James' Park at those odds, as his future is still uncertain with lack of playing time.
The one player Eddie Howe is favourite to secure this winter transfer window is a defender they're in dire need of to bolster their back line and that is consistent centre-back James Tarkowski from Burnley.
Newcastle Odds: To sign before February, 3 2022
- James Tarkowski: 6/5
- Aaron Ramsey: 11/4
- Nathan Ake: 7/2
- Wilfried Zaha: 5/1
- Ousmane Dembele: 6/1
- Philippe Coutinho: 6/1
- Jesse Lingard: 6/1
- Conor Coady: 15/2
- Adama Traore: 15/2
- Alfredo Morelos: 10/1
- Georginio Wijnaldum: 10/1
- Raheem Sterling: 12/1
- Donny van de Beek: 14/1
- Jamie Vardy: 16/1
- Gareth Bale: 16/1
- Paul Pogba: 20/1

Former Premier League midfielder, with nearly 300 appearances for Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey is currently the second favourite to be signed by the Magpies this season.
He is currently at Serie A giants Juventus but could be looking for a move away this January as the club are reportedly allowing a move this transfer window.
They will need the right players to save them from what seems certain doom as they sit bottom of the league without a win and they are currently 1/2 to face the drop this season.

Only their counterparts on Tuesday evening, Norwich City are even more likely to drop down to the Championship.
Newcastle amassed just seven points from 14 matches but with seven draws so far they could still have more to come with the huge changes in the club from the owners, the managers and potentially a whole host of new players.
Betfair Spokesperson, Sam Rosbottom said: "Despite a valiant effort with ten men for most of the match, Newcastle couldn't get their first win of the season against fellow strugglers Norwich.
"Although it was a spirited performance, the draw has only had a negative impact on their chances of survival and the Toon are now 1/2 with Betfair to be relegated from the Premier League this season.
"There is still light at the end of the tunnel though, and with the winter transfer window just a month away, Eddie Howe will no doubt be looking to spend their new owners' money to bolster his team for the fight for survival.
"Six points from safety with 24 games to go means it is far from an impossible task, and they are currently 11/8 to survive the drop to the Championship."
