Saturday lunchtime's FA Cup action sees an eagerly-anticipated Tyne-Wear derby take place for the first time in eight years as Newcastle make the short trip to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland in one of the standout ties of the round.

Five other Premier League sides are in action on Saturday afternoon, including Chelsea hosting Preston and Aston Villa making the trip to Middlesbrough in the evening clashes, while Chesterfield, Eastleigh, and sixth-tier Maidstone will be flying the flag for non-league.

Sunday sees Manchester City begin the defence of their title they won last season, their second trophy en route to a historic European treble, as Pep Guardiola's side welcome Championship strugglers Huddersfield to the Etihad.

Arsenal host Liverpool at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon in another match that is not to be missed, before Manchester United make the short trip to Wigan on Monday night to close out the third round fixtures in a local derby.
