CopyBet review: Sign up offer and sports promotions in 2025

CopyBet describes itself as “a unique UK platform that has it all”. That’s a bold claim and one I wanted to test, so I did. This CopyBet review shines a light on unique features such as auto-betting and picks out some areas for improvement.
Indeed, with CopyBet providing a trading-style service to UK sports bettors, there’s a lot of potential for greatness. Does that potential translate into tangible results and a successful sports betting platform? Let’s find out…
General information about CopyBet

The first thing I noticed about CopyBet was its layout. In my view, it looks a bit like a financial trading site. That’s clearly different from the industry norm, but it’s more than a stylistic statement. CopyBet has an auto-betting feature that’s directly inspired by online trading platforms such as eToro.
I’ll talk more about auto-betting later in this CopyBet review. Before that, here are some of the sportsbook’s highlights:
- CopyBet offers more than 140,000 pre-event and live sports bets every month.
- New customers can get five bets worth £10 each when they wager £10 on anything with odds of 1.9 or greater within 7 days of creating an account.
- Existing customers can claim accumulator insurance bonuses and odds boosts. They can also enter prediction challenges.
⚽ CopyBet Euro 2024 betting offer
The Copybet free bet offer is a standout opportunity for Euro 2024 bettors. Simply place a £10 qualifying bet on an event with odds of 10/11 (1.90) or higher, and you'll receive five £10 free bets. The first two can be used as singles, with the first on football and the second on horse racing. The remaining three free bets are designated for accumulators, starting from doubles to accas with at least four selections.
- Offer amount: £50
- Offer type: 5x £10 free bets
- Min stake: £10
- Min odds: 10/11 (1.90)
❤️ What I like about CopyBet
I like CEOs and developers who dare be different, which is why CopyBet piqued my interest. Admittedly, it doesn’t have the brand appeal of companies like Betfair or William Hill. What it does have, however, is a selection of unique features.
As I said, the website has an interesting design that complements CopyBet’s trading angle. In terms of odds, most lines are competitive. Some of the football betting markets I reviewed needed a bit more value, but overall, the odds match what the UK’s top sportsbooks offer.
It’s also nice to see horse racing offered alongside mainstream and niche sports, including chess, hurling, and pesapallo. In fact, what’s really impressive is how the CopyBet blog features betting tips for a variety of sports, including less popular ones. So, even if you don’t know anything about a sport like hurling, you should be able to get some information from the blog.
Pros
- Copy bets from experienced gamblers
- Sign up in less than 10 seconds
- Covers over 25 sports
- Excellent risk-management tools
- Payment secured by TrueLayer software
🛠️ What I don’t like about CopyBet
CopyBet’s website and mobile app have a unique design, but it’s a bit sparse in places. I don’t mind blank spaces because it makes the interface easier to navigate, particularly on mobile devices. However, in terms of eye-catching designs, CopyBet isn’t the most visually engaging sportsbook I’ve tried.
The welcome bonus is great, but other sportsbooks have more ongoing promotions. Additionally, you can only get the CopyBet welcome bonus if you make an initial deposit via instant bank transfer. Any other method excludes you from the offer.
Cons
- Needs more ongoing bonuses
- Doesn’t have live chat support
What is CopyBet best known for?
CopyBet is best known for its auto-betting feature. Otherwise known as copy betting, this feature allows you to mirror wagers made by other users. Similar systems are available in the online trading world, but CopyBet is one of the only UK sportsbooks that offers this feature.
The premise is simple: you find a sports betting expert, follow them (like you would on a social media platform), and the software tracks their bets. This allows you to copy their bets by adjusting the stake according to your preferences.
All of this can be done automatically, so you’re essentially able to deposit funds to your copy betting account and the software takes care of the rest. You’ll also have access to a traditional sportsbook account, so you can make your own bets. What I like to do is use the universal wallet to move funds between the two accounts and use a hybrid strategy.
Following experienced sports bettors doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to win money. However, CopyBet’s software does a great job of showing you a user’s true win rate (i.e. how much they actually win as a percentage of their total stake. You can also see the sports they typically bet on and their risk rating (i.e. whether they typically make low, medium, or high-risk bets).
I’d urge you to consider the bettor’s risk rating. You don’t want to follow a high-risk strategy if you’re a conservative bettor with a small bankroll. Additionally, it’s a good idea to use CopyBet’s risk management tools, in particular the stop-loss feature.
CopyBet payment methods
You get a universal wallet when you join CopyBet. This means the funds you deposit can be split and/or moved between your sportsbook and copy betting accounts. You need funds in your copy-betting account to cover subscription fees.
Each sports bettor who makes themselves available within the auto-betting feature charges their own subscription fee. These fees are deducted on a weekly or monthly basis from the funds in your copy betting account.
I found this confusing at first, and I wasn’t alone. The comment below is taken from a CopyBet review on Apple’s App Store:
“It’s confusing having to switch money between the wallet and the sportsbook accounts, especially as it is not instant,” vp4999.
Fortunately, it doesn’t take long to get used to the way accounts are split.
Another positive is that CopyBet offers plenty of fast methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Withdrawals are particularly speedy, with an average processing time of 2 hours. The only thing I’d change is the fact that withdrawals are only processed between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EET.
Other than this small issue, payments at CopyBet are safe, speedy, and suitable for bettors at every level. The basics are:
- Deposit minimum: £10
- Withdrawal limit: £1
- Withdrawal time: Instant to 5 banking days
- Payment methods: Instant bank transfer, Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, G Pay, Skrill, Neteller
CopyBet betting app
The CopyBet mobile app has a 4.2/5 rating from iOS users. The design makes it easy to navigate, and all the main features, including auto-betting, can be activated with a single tap. However, for all the positives, there is room for improvement.
One user ran into issues switching between pages:
“It’s quite frustrating having to re-enter your log-in details when you switch between tabs,” Vp4999
I didn’t encounter this issue in the betting app, so it’s probably been fixed. However, the comment tells me that the app isn’t always stable. Of course, on the flip side, the subsequent fix also tells me that the developers are proactive.
Customer support at CopyBet
Customer support is where I saw the biggest flaws. There isn’t a live chat option, and messages are passed through an internal messaging system. You can get almost instant replies at certain times of the day, but there doesn’t seem to be any consistency.
You can also send emails to info@copybet.com, and replies typically take up to 48 hours. I did notice that the developers are active on the App Store. The fact that they respond to comments tells me they’re trying to be as supportive as possible.
Is CopyBet devoted to responsible gambling?
Yes, it is. CopyBet has onsite links to problem gambling organisations, including GamStop, Gordon Moody, GamCare, and GambleAware.org. You can also take a quiz to determine whether or not gambling is having a negative impact on your life.
This sportsbook doesn’t have a session time limiter, but there is an onscreen timer so you can see how long you’ve been active. CopyBet is also lacking a loss limit setting, something I feel needs to be addressed.
That being said, this is a legit online sportsbook that complies with the UK Gambling Commission’s policies regarding responsible gambling.
Responsible gambling at CopyBet:
- KYC: Yes
- Time limit: No
- Deposit limit: Yes
- Loss limit: No
- Self-exclusion: Yes
CopyBet alternatives
If I’m offering alternatives to CopyBet, I’d suggest taking a look at Betfair if you want better odds. Even though CopyBet is competitive in most areas, Betfair is better overall when it comes to football and horse racing odds. It’s also worth checking out Betfair’s exchange for competitive odds for other sports.
My second alternative to CopyBet is Betfred. Based on my reviews, Betfair has better promotions than CopyBet. For example, Betfred’s welcome bonus is the same value as CopyBet’s (£50).
However, it offers more variety because you get 3x £10 singles and 2x £10 acca bets instead of 5x single bets worth £10 each. Additionally, Betfred has extra-places-paid promotions, as well as more free bets and reload bonuses.
Who is CopyBet best for?
CopyBet is suitable for newbies and pros. New sports bettors get to follow experienced pros and profit from their knowledge. Experienced bettors can earn extra revenue by charging other users to follow their betting feeds.
How do I feel about CopyBet?
CopyBet is an innovative platform that makes sports betting more accessible to a mass audience. It’s not perfect. Certain features need to be refined, but the concept is impressive. If you’re someone who wants something better than betting tips, I suggest following some of the experts at CopyBet.
