Spain head into the opening semi final of Euro 2024 as favourites to reach Sunday's finale having arguably been the most impressive team throughout the entirety of the tournament so far.

Didier Deschamps' side are yet to score from open play so far this competition, with two of their three goals scored so far being own goals, the other being a penalty.
France have only conceded one goal at the championships so far though, which came from the penalty spot in their final group game, a 1-1 draw with Poland which saw the French finish second in their group on five points, one behind Austria and one ahead of the Netherlands.
The knockout stage so far has seen Les Bleus earn a narrow 1-0 win over Belgium with the help of an own goal, before winning a penalty shoot-out against Portugal in the quarter finals to book their place in the last four.
The two-time European champions are bidding to join the Spanish and the German as three-time conquerors of the continent, but trail Spain 16-13 in their historic overall head-to-head record across their 36 meetings.
France have won two of the last three meetings between the two sides but have also only won two of the last eight, the most recent of which coming in the 2021 Nations League final in Milan when France overturned a 1-0 deficit with 25 minutes to go to win the tie 2-1 and lift the Nations League title for the first time.
