Arsenal 2024/25 EPL betting tips: What to expect from the betting markets?

Arsenal betting tips

Runners-up for two seasons in a row, can Arsenal win their first Premier League title in 20 years?

As the new season gets underway, the Premier League winner odds are already out, and Arsenal’s chances have become a focal point of excitement.

⚡My quick betting tip

⚽ Arsenal last season overview

Arsenal have not been crowned champions of England since Arsene Wenger’s side famously went unbeaten throughout the 2003/04 campaign. The closest they have come since then was last season, when Mikel Arteta’s men finished just a point adrift of Manchester City at the summit of the standings.

The Gunners had the best defensive record in the division last term, conceding just 29 goals. They won a joint-high 28 games and were defeated on only five occasions. Arsenal even edged City on the head-to-head record between the pair. Yet still they could not knock Pep Guardiola’s team from the top spot in the Premier League table

⚽ Arsenal manager

It is testament to Arteta’s talent as a coach that he has been going toe to toe with Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp in recent years despite this being his very first job in management. Guardiola’s former assistant at Manchester City went through some tough times early on in his tenure, but Arsenal fans would not swap him for anyone right now.

The message is clear – we need more from everybody. More from everybody, including me,” he said when asked about his objective for 2024/25.

I need to raise the standards; I need to bring something I haven’t brought yet. Individually and collectively, the same. The more we do that, the better the chance it’s going to be to win the Premier League.

⚽ Arsenal transfers

As of early August, Arsenal have made two major signings. The first was a permanent deal for goalkeeper David Raya, who spent last season on loan at the Emirates Stadium from Brentford. He will continue as Arsenal’s first-choice pick between the sticks in 2024/25 having improved as last term went on.

The second saw the Gunners win the race for Riccardo Calafiori, a talented Italian centre-half signed from Bologna. The 22-year-old could play as a left-back in the coming campaign, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes difficult to shift at the heart of the defence.

Arsenal fans will hope to see more activity before the transfer window closes. Some of the names being linked with the club include Mikel Merino, Nico Williams and Viktor Gyokeres.

As the fixtures for the upcoming season are released, fans are eager to see how potential new signings might impact the team's performance.

⚽ Arsenal objective for the season

There is only one goal for Arsenal this season: win the Premier League title. With this singular focus, fans are watching closely as UK football betting sites reflect their strong chances, hoping that these odds will prove accurate and signal a long-awaited triumph.

Arteta has done a fantastic job to get the north Londoners back into contention after so long where the aim was merely a top-four finish, but expectations have risen following back-to-back second-place finishes.

The problem is Manchester City. Guardiola’s team became the first side in English football history to win four consecutive titles last time out. Some have questioned whether the City players’ appetite may have dulled after such a sustained period of success, but there were no signs of that last term.

Having said that, Arsenal came mightily close last season and only a slight improvement from last season could be enough to bring them the prize they crave.

⚽ Arsenal strengths

For much of the late Wenger era, Arsenal were seen as a soft touch who played pretty football without sufficient regard for the defensive side of the game. No longer. Arteta has turned Arsenal into a mean outfit. They kept 18 clean sheets last term, by far the most in the division and five more than Manchester City.

Arsenal’s defence has become a major strength. Saliba is arguably the best centre-back in European football right now, while Gabriel is not too far behind the imperious France international.

Arsenal are well coached with and without the ball, hence their opponents’ struggles to prise open their backline. Never mind beating them, simply scoring a goal against Arsenal is difficult enough these days.

⚽ Arsenal weaknesses

It is hard to be too critical of a team that accumulated 89 points last season and has been moving in the right direction for some time now. But Premier League titles are decided on relative rather than absolute figures and, in order to get better, Arsenal must compare themselves to Manchester City.

One area in which there is room for improvement is the management of players’ minutes. With Arsenal determined to compete on multiple fronts, it is important to give key men time off at the right time.

Because of Arteta’s reluctance to rotate certain players, tiredness crept into Arsenal’s performances towards the end of last season. The manager must aim to keep everyone fresh heading into the run-in.

💰 What do I bet on?

Arsenal to win the Premier League title at 37/20 with BetMGM. The Gunners have continually improved over the last few years and they now look ready to take the final step.
