Walsall vs Leicester predictions

Walsall welcome Premier League opposition at home for the first time in a year and a half and the last top-flight side they faced, was also the Foxes.

The Saddlers lost 1-0 at home to the Foxes in the Fa Cup Fourth Round in January 2023.

There's a large gap between these two in the standings with two leagues in between them, but Leicester are while Walsall sit 3rd in League Two.

Walsall managed to beat Huddersfield 3-2 at home in August in the second round to get to this tie and now have a huge opportunity to bring in some vital cash for the club with either a replay or a 4th round tie.

Walsall vs Leicester betting tips

  • Leicester to win by 2+ goals and score in each half - 13/8

Walsall went 2-0 down to Huddersfield in the first hour, but managed to claw it back against the ten men Terriers, scoring three in the space of 14 minutes to seal the comeback.

Despite only having 38% possession Walsall made as many as 22 attempts on goal with seven on target, dumping out the League One side in a thrilling game.

Leicester are of course well equipped to deal with lower league sides, with a decent depth that could see them put through their paces but win nicely enough.

The Foxes beat Tranmere 4-0 in the second round of the EFL Cup and could put in a similar performance here against another League Two side.
