  • Cole Palmer to score Only Erling Haaland has scored more league goals than the Chelsea midfielder this campaign, who has six to his name, including five in his last four matches
  • Joelinton to be carded Only two players in the Premier League have received more yellow cards than Joelinton this season, who is already just one booking away from suspension at this early stage of the campaign
  • Anthony Gordon to have 1+ shot on target No player has taken more shots on target for Newcastle this season than the England winger

Chelsea returned to winning ways on Thursday evening in Greece with a 4-1 win over Panathinaikos in the Conference League, having fallen to just their second defeat of the league season in their most recent league outing, a 2-1 loss against Liverpool.

The loss at Anfield ended a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions for Enzo Maresca's side, which included five wins, and has seen the side, who appeared to be slightly in disarray on and off the pitch in the summer, climb within reach of the top four.

The Blues head into the weekend having fallen to sixth after last week's defeat, but are only three points behind Arsenal in third place and will be confident of victory on Sunday afternoon at home against a Newcastle side who have struggled on the road of late.

Maresca's side are unbeaten in their last six matches at Stamford Bridge, winning five of those, and will back themselves to extend that run this weekend as they aim to climb into those all-important Champions League positions.

Newcastle started the season in fine form, picking up 10 points from their opening four matches to leave them third in the table in mid-September, but have gone without a victory in their four matches since as they've hit a slight stumbling block in the run of form.

Eddie Howe's side make the long trip down to the capital with only one defeat in their last four games in all competitions though, though that loss did come last weekend against Brighton which also saw their unbeaten home record since the start of the season come to an end.

Just two points from their last four games in the league won't leave them battling for the European spots as they'd expect to be this season, but their strong start to the season means despite being down in ninth place, they are only three behind Brighton in fifth.

Chelsea have won only one of their last four league games against the Magpies but that win did come in their most recent meeting, and it's been 12 years since the Tyneside club last tasted victory at Stamford Bridge, suffering 12 defeats in 13 matches in that time.
