Wolves vs Arsenal predictions
In the second half of last season Arsenal won 16 of their final 18 Premier League fixtures, collecting 49 points from the last 54 available. Still it was not enough to win the title.
To have any chance of topping the table this term, Arsenal need to go on a similar sort of run. But even if they were to win each of their remaining 16 games, there would be no guarantee that Mikel Arteta’s men would be champions.
At their current rate of accumulation, league leaders Liverpool are on course to finish the campaign on 90 points.
Meanwhile 16 wins from 16 would give Arsenal a final tally of 92 points. Barring a hard-to-imagine Liverpool collapse, Arsenal have minimal margin for error.
Having pushed Manchester City so close for two seasons, Arsenal would have hoped to be in position to capitalise on Pep Guardiola’s team’s struggles this time around. Instead, it is Liverpool who are taking advantage.
It is vital that Arsenal do not get too downcast, though. We have seen commanding leads thrown away before in the Premier League.
Liverpool have a game in hand on Arsenal, but the current gap of six points is not insurmountable, especially as there is a head-to-head clash between the duo on the way in May. If Arsenal can close the gap between now and then, who knows what will happen.
The frustration is that Arsenal have not been able to capitalise on Liverpool’s minor wobble. The Reds have dropped eight points since the beginning of December, but so too have the Gunners. A 2-2 draw with Aston Villa last weekend, a game in which Arsenal led 2-0, was just the latest disappointment.
Still, it has not entirely been plain sailing for Liverpool of late and Arsenal must ensure they are in a position to pounce if Arne Slot’s charges slip up again in the coming weeks.
Wolves, for their part, have not had a positive start to 2025. Vitor Pereira oversaw a 2-1 victory over Bristol City in the FA Cup, but Wolves have lost three out of three in the league since the turn of the year.
Wolves vs Arsenal betting tips
Wolves and Arsenal are ready to go head-to-head in the Premier League this weekend.
Draw/Arsenal half-time/full-time
Wolves enjoyed an initial bounce after Pereira’s appointment, but they have been brought back down to earth with a thud in recent weeks. Wolves are outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone, with Ipswich Town fighting to overtake them.
Even as they struggled to put wins on the board under Gary O’Neil, Wolves had little trouble scoring goals. The problem was at the other end of the field.
Free Bet Offers
Wolves have tried to tighten up under Pereira, but it has not worked yet. They have conceded three goals to each of Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Chelsea of late. Worryingly, that has coincided with a reduction in their attacking output.
Arsenal are missing Bukayo Saka and it could take them a while to break Wolves down, so do not be surprised if the score is level at the interval. The visitors should prove too strong overall, though.

Over 2.5 goals
There have been a league-high 83 goals in Wolves’ 22 games to date. If you are looking for entertainment, they are the team to watch.
As mentioned above, Pereira is seeking to strike a better balance - but it has not worked yet. At some point he may opt to focus on Wolves’ strengths once more.
Either way, this promises to be an open game. Arsenal have not been as resolute as normal in recent games and they have not kept a clean sheet away from home since the short trip to Tottenham Hotspur in September.
As for Wolves, a remarkable 10 of their last 11 Premier League matches have featured over 2.5 goals.
All things considered, it is hard to see this being a cagey, low-scoring affair.

Kai Havertz to score any time
Kai Havertz was scapegoated by some Arsenal fans after the cup defeats by Newcastle and Manchester United earlier this month, but the Germany international has bounced back admirably.
Havertz scored in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa last weekend and he was also on target as Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday.
With Gabriel Jesus out injured, the centre-forward spot belongs to Havertz and he will be desperate to show that he has what it takes to lead the line for Arsenal.
The Gunners will surely bring in another attacking player either this month or in the summer, but for all the question marks about his long-term suitability, Havertz can still impact games like this one.
