Burnley's 2-1 win over fellow automatic promotion rivals Sheffield United on Easter Monday opened up an unassailable eight point gap between the two sides with just two matches to play, thus securing the Clarets promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Despite having achieved the ultimate goal for the season, Scott Parker's side will still have their sights firmly set on the Championship title, with the Clarets heading in to the penultimate weekend of the season level on points with top of the table Leeds.
The Clarets are unbeaten in the league since November and have won six of their last seven matches, so momentum is very much on their side ahead of their weekend trip to the capital to take on a QPR side with nothing left to play for this season.
QPR are one of just a handful of sides at this late stage in the campaign guaranteed to be playing Championship football next season.
Marti Cifuentes' side fell to their first defeat in five matches on Easter Monday with a 2-1 home loss to Swansea, and return to the capital for their final home game of the season without a win in their last five games at Loftus Road.
The west London side are currently sat 15th in the second tier table without the possibility of going up or down, but will still have half an eye on a top half finish, with the side currently just three points behind 12th placed Watford.
With Burnley in fantastic form and still fighting for the title, I expect them to return back to Lancashire with all three points against a QPR side who have nothing tangible to play for - I predict a 2-0 away win.
