Arsenal vs Bournemouth predictions, odds and betting tips

Arsenal vs Bournemouth betting predictions

Arsenal will host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners will be aiming to consolidate their second-place Premier League position.

Despite their midweek Champions League setback against PSG, the Gunners boast a strong home record, winning their last seven league matches at the Emirates.

Bournemouth are struggling with form and injuries. They are four matches without a win on the road.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth predictions

Arsenal will enter the Matchday 35 fixture on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final.

Domestically, the Gunners have drawn three of their last four league matches, including a 2-2 stalemate against Crystal Palace in their previous league outing.

Arsenal sit second in the table with 67 points from 34 matches. Second place is not secure, but it is highly unlikely the Gunners won’t finish runners-up to Liverpool.

The Champions League second leg in Paris is going to prioritise this fixture. But Mikel Arteta’s team can’t keep on throwing away Premier League points from winnable matches.

Despite a drop off in form for Bournemouth in recent weeks, this has still been an outstanding season for the south coast club.

Such has been their success, manager Andoni Iraloa has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer. Tottenham are one of the teams who have been consistently linked with the Spaniard in recent weeks.

Frustrating is probably the word that can be best used to describe Bournemouth’s recent results.

A 1-0 win over Fulham on Matchday 32 ended a six-match winless run. Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal of the game in the opening minute.

That was followed by a disappointing 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace. Bournemouth dominated the match with 73 percent of the possession. They were helped by the Eagles playing the second half with only ten men.

Further frustration was to follow in Bournemouth’s most recent outing on Sunday.

After leading the match against Manchester United since the 23rd minute, the Cherries conceded a 96th-minute equaliser to the Red Devils.

The point saw Bournemouth drop to tenth in the table. They have 50 points from 34 matches.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth betting tips

It’s remarkable to see Arsenal at better than even money to win a home Premier League match against Bournemouth. But, with Mikel Arteta’s team focussed on Wednesday’s Champions League second leg in Paris, that’s how the bookies have priced this match up. Our match betting tips follow:

Arsenal to win or draw and BTTS

Bournemouth have never beaten Arsenal at the Emirates. And despite the Gunners having more than one eye on Paris, the Cherries aren’t exactly in great form to put an end to their winless run in north London.

We did consider backing Bournemouth or the draw in the double chance. But they are 8/11. And with Bournemouth only winning one of their last nine in the league, we don’t consider that great value.

Instead, we are going for Arsenal to win or draw and both teams to score. This covers a scoring draw and an Arsenal win, with Bournemouth scoring.

Back Arsenal to win or draw and yes in both teams to score at 5/4 with Tote

Both teams to score

Bournemouth have found the net in seven of their last eight Premier League matches. They might not be winning many, but they are still scoring goals.

The Cherries will have a great opportunity to extend their goal scoring record against an under strength Arsenal on Saturday.

Arsenal have scored 33 goals in 17 Premier League matches at the Emirates this season.

The Gunners haven’t been prolific, but they have only failed to find the back of the net in two of their home league matches. We feel they will score against the Cherries.

Antoine Semenyo to score or assist

The midfielder has nine goals and five assists in the Premier League this season. More recently, the 25-year-old has two goals in his last three matches.

He is also the only player to find the net for Cherries in their last three outings. Back Semenyo to continue his fine end-of-season form.
