Viddal Riley RESULT: Viddal scores uppercut knockdown of Willbeforce Shihepo and WINS on points on Amir Khan vs Kell Brook undercard

Viddal Riley floored and dominated Willbeforce Shihepo to secure a wide points victory on the undercard of Amir Khan vs Kell Brook on Saturday night.

The cruiserweight prospect - who boasts a significant social media following - moved to 5-0 (2KOs) with the victory.

The fight began with Viddal looking sharp as he landed a hard right hand on Shihepo within the first five seconds.

It was a composed opening round from the youngster, and he rounded it off in impressive fashion.

A big right uppercut caught Shihepo coming in and floored him.

The 39-year-old made it back to his feet and survived to the bell.

In the rounds that followed though, Shihepo looked his age.

The slowing veteran resorted to smothering Viddal and supressing his work.

Despite warnings from the referee, he continued to do this throughout the remainder of the bout.

In round five, Viddal appeared close to the stoppage, but again Shihepo did just enough to avoid being stopped.

Viddal won each of the six rounds and saw out the win, but was unable to score a statement knockout due to the awkward, nullifying approach of Shihepo.

"It feels good to finally fight in the UK," Viddal said after the win.

"I found my range a few times in the fight, then struggled to find my range a bit.

"I have been out of the ring for a couple of years.

"He's a veteran, a good opponent, that's why I selected him and I learned a lot in that fight.

"That's what I'm supposed to do at this stage of my career."
