Tyson Fury says he’s trying to make a fight for his father John Fury – who previously called out Mike Tyson – on the undercard of his upcoming clash with Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium

Tyson Fury has stated that he wants his father John Fury to have a fight on the undercard of his upcoming clash with Dillian Whyte.

The rival British heavyweights will meet live on talkSPORT on April 23, with Fury’s WBC heavyweight title at stake at Wembley Stadium.

No undercard fights have been announced as yet.

It is known that Tyson's brother Tommy Fury is likely to return to action on the show.

And heavyweight prospect Jared Anderson is flying to the UK to spar with Fury, so could also be on the card.

Now, Fury has told about his father: "I'm trying to get John on the undercard to be honest.

"We're still working on that.

"Frank [Warren] is working very hard behind the scenes, it's not been announced but I'm just going to give you a little sneaky preview.

"Big John, trying to get him on the undercard. So yeah, don't be surprised."

When asked about a hypothetical fight between Fury Sr and promoter Eddie Hearn, Fury added: "No. My dad would chin Eddie Hearn in one round, within 30 seconds."

Two years ago, Fury Sr made headlines by issuing a bellowing callout message to Mike Tyson ahead of his exhibition return.

He shouted at the time: “I’ll fight Mike Tyson, he’s making a comeback. I know he mentions my boy’s name every five minutes, but here I am, John Fury is hiding from no man, not even the king of the old men Mike Tyson.

“I will fight Mike Tyson; I will not be denied, I will die in a fight.”
