Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte will share a Zoom virtual press conference on Thursday night, according to Fury's US co-promoters Top Rank.

It will notably be the first time that the pair have exchanged words with one another throughout the entire build-up to the bout, which will be live on talkSPORT on April 23.

Up until Wednesday of this week, Whyte had deliberately not engaged in the promotion of the event.

The challenger opted not to show up to the initial launch press conference last month, which Fury led on his own.

This is because Whyte and his team have had a number of disputes with the Gypsy King's UK co-promoter Frank Warren, some of which were aired in a clash involving Whyte's lawyer on talkSPORT a few weeks back.

Now it's not exactly clear what has happened behind the scenes, but it appears as though a compromise may have been met between the two camps.

On Wednesday, Whyte posted about the fight on social media for the first time since it was announced.

And Fury's US co-promoters Top Rank have announced that Whyte will join Fury, Warren and Bob Arum on a Zoom virtual press conference on Thursday night at 6pm UK time (1pm ET).

Their press release read: "Fury, Warren, Arum, AND WHYTE will meet the media for a Zoom press conference Thursday, April 14 beginning at 6pm UK/1pm ET/10am PT."

Many are still understandably sceptical as to whether Whyte will join the Zoom call and he has not yet publicly confirmed that he will do so.

However, his social media post about the fight on Wednesday led some to think that an agreement may have been made behind the scenes.

Whyte tweeted and put on Instagram: "I’m ready. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on the 23rd of April @WembleyStadium. #LetsGooo!!!!"

Notably, he also tagged Frank Warren and BT Sport, who he'd previously been refusing to engage with on any level.

Hopefully, on Thursday night, promotion for the fight can finally ramp up a notch with the pair exchanging words.
