Errol Spence Jr gives Yordenis Ugas nasty eye injury in stoppage victory as Terence Crawford accepts callout and Jake Paul makes pound-for-pound claim

Errol Spence Jr stopped Yordenis Ugas in the 10th round to claim the WBA (Super) welterweight title and set up a blockbuster clash with Terence Crawford.

Spence inflicted a nasty eye injury on Ugas with a doctor ruling he was unable to continue due to the swelling.

The Cuban had the American reeling in the sixth round before the fight was called off in the 10th, but Spence was leading on all three judges’ scorecards at the AT&T Stadium in Texas

The 32-year-old added the belt to the WBC and IBF welterweight titles he already possessed and immediately took the chance to call out Crawford.

“Everybody knows who I want next, I want Terence Crawford next,” the 32-year-old said.

“That's the fight that I want, that's the fight that everybody else wants and like I said, I'm going to get these straps.

“I'm going to go over there and take his s*** too. Terence, I'm coming for that motherf****** belt."

Crawford, who holds the WBO welterweight belt, immediately responded on social media to Spence’s callout.

He wrote on Twitter: ”Now the real fight happens. No more talk no more side of the street let's go!!!”

Crawford added: “Keep my belts warm I’ll be coming to grab em later this year.”

Jake Paul also weighed-in on the action and made a pound-for-pound claim about Spence Jr.

He tweeted: "And that is why Errol Spence Jr. is in my top 5 pound for pound list Ugas has a ton of heart much respect."
