Canelo Alvarez got so frustrated during his fight with Dmitry Bivol he resorted to WWE tactics at one point

It's rare that we see Canelo do anything less than dominate a fight, but he was frustrated to such an extent by Dmitry Bivol that he adopted some unorthodox tactics.
On Saturday, Bivol pulled off a huge upset as he boxed his way to victory in front of a Canelo-favouring crowd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
According to the judge's scorecards Bivol only won the fight by a round, but for everyone else watching, it was a shutout victory for the Russian.
Bivol kept his distance and used his jab well to frustrate Canelo so much so that in the 11th round the Mexican resorted to WWE tactics.
After eating a left hook, Canelo ducked under a right hand from Bivol, walked forward and picked the Russian up on his shoulder in a show of strength.
This did not turn the tide of the fight, however, as Bivol went on to win the twelfth round to claim victory by unanimous decision.
This is only the second defeat of Canelo's 61-fight career so far, with the first coming against Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2013, and he has said he wants a rematch with Bivol to avenge this loss.
Originally, Canelo had been scheduled to go straight into a trilogy bout with Gennady Golovkin in September, but now it looks like that will have to wait.
