Naoya Inoue vs Nonito Donaire 2 RESULT: Inoue KOs Donaire with huge left hook as Monster unifies titles in two-round demolition job

Naoya Inoue knocked out Nonito Donaire in ruthless fashion on Tuesday in Japan to unify the WBA, WBC and IBF bantamweight world titles.

It took just two rounds for the 29-year-old superstar to KO his legendary foe in their rematch, after the pair had previously shared a sensational 12-round war.

In their first fight in 2019, Inoue was expected to breeze through Donaire.

However, they ended up in a thrilling battle which saw the Japanese star given the toughest test of his career.

Inoue ultimately came on strong in the latter stages, flooring Donaire and winning by unanimous decision.

The epic contest was crowned 2019's Fight of the Year.

Two-and-a-half years later, the rematch began in dramatic fashion as Inoue floored Donaire right at the end of the very first round.

A stunning right hand from the younger man put the veteran on his backside.

He recovered to hear the bell, however the writing was already on the wall.

In round two, Inoue came out firing once again and battered Donaire from pillar to post.

He landed a series of powerful, accurate shots which put his opponent on wobbly legs and left him staggering around the ring.

Inoue then flattened Donaire with a huge left hook and referee Michael Griffin waved off the contest straight away.

Inoue is now WBA, WBC and IBF bantamweight champion and will seek a fight with WBO title-holder Paul Butler to crown an undisputed champion.
