AnEsonGib to return to professional boxing for first time since Jake Paul defeat as Floyd Mayweather sends him message about next fight against Austin McBroom, who wants to challenge KSI

YouTuber AnEsonGib (birth name Ali Loui Al-Fakhri) is set to return to professional boxing and face Austin McBroom on July 30 at the Crypto.com Arena in LA, USA.
The popular 25-year-old suffered a first-round stoppage defeat to Jake Paul in his only fully sanctioned pro bout to date back in January 2020 - when both men were making their debuts.
Prior to that, Gib had won two white collar bouts and was thought of as a solid challenge to Jake by followers of the YouTube scene.
However, the American floored him three times within the opening three minutes to prove he was in fact levels above.
In the aftermath of the one-sided loss, Gib vowed to return to the ring.
He did so in an exhibition bout with Tayler Holder last year which, while not officially sanctioned as a pro fight, was in many ways treated as such.
This time around, given his poor showing against Jake, many expected Gib to lose.
In an upset though, he dominated all six rounds and clearly did enough to emerge victorious.
Gib's crowning moment of redemption was ultimately taken away from him though, as the result was initially given as a bizarre majority draw.
A few days later this was overturned and he was awarded a deserved unanimous decision win.
On the same night, Austin McBroom began his boxing journey in impressive fashion as he stopped Bryce Hall.
Now, a year on, Gib and Austin are set to meet on July 30 at the Crypto.com Arena in LA.
This fight will be a fully sanctioned professional contest with both men having been granted pro licences.
It will obviously be Gib's second pro bout, while it's Austin's official debut.
And the American is already looking past his opponent.
Austin posted on Instagram: "Lil Gibby better appreciate this opportunity especially after barely beating his last opponent. [Might] as well count this as charity work.
"July 30 in LA at the Crypto Arena, I’m back and I’m going to make a statement and put a beating on this baby boy.
"KSI I’ll see you in the ring next at the end of the year… IF you beat your next opponent."
Remarkably, Gib has support from an unexpected source.
It appears that while 50-0 boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was in Dubai for his recent exhibition, someone collared him to produce a message for the YouTuber.
In his video announcing the fight, Gib showed the clip in which Mayweather said: "Big Gibber, I know what happened in your last fight, you got cheated.
"I thought you won, you thought you won, but now you can redeem yourself.
"I know you're fighting against Austin, good luck, go out there and do what you've gotta do.
"It's gonna be a good fight, I'mma be watching.
"But good luck once again, you're hearing it from the one and only, Floyd 'Make That Money' Mayweather."
