Richard Riakporhe reflects on brutal body shot knockout after opponent’s trainer stormed into the ring to stop fight when referee was set to let it continue
Richard Riakporhe used to be managed by Dillian Whyte and it seems he has learned a thing or two from 'The Bodysnatcher' following his latest KO victory.
On Saturday night, Riakporhe headlined a card at Wembley Arena against Fabio Turchi and the contest did not last long, as 'The Midnight Train' landed a crushing body shot in round two.

Turchi managed to get back to his feet despite being visibly in agony and as the referee was about to let the bout continue, the Italian's trainer came sprinting into the ring, towel in hand, to save his fighter from further punishment.
After the fight, Riakporhe spoke to talkSPORT about the stoppage, saying, "I landed a few shots on his arms and tried to get a few shots round his guard, but he was blocking it and he felt like a brick.
"I just knew I had to take my time and intelligently decipher this guy. First shot I landed, I took him out and it was amazing.
"Everybody was happy, I was happy and it was an easy night's work, but the camp was hard, so now I'm just chilling and enjoying the victory and I'm ready to get back in the gym, I'm hungry."
In terms of what's next for the unbeaten cruiserweight, this fight had been billed as an eliminator for Mairis Briedis's IBF world title and Riakporhe made it clear before this latest contest that he wanted a world title shot by the end of the year.
With that being said, while on talkSPORT's White and Jordan, former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan, suggested that Riakporhe should fight Mayweather promotions star, Badou Jack, next and 'The Midnight Train' seemed open to the suggestion.
