Tyson Fury and dad John impressed by Daniel Dubois as Dynamite targets winner of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk II, says promoter Frank Warren

Tyson Fury was impressed by stablemate Daniel Dubois’ win over Trevor Bryan on Saturday.
The Gypsy King retired after defeating Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April, but the 33-year-old is yet to vacate the WBC heavyweight championship and remains one of boxing’s biggest names.
While he is undoubtedly promoter Frank Warren’s crown jewel, Joe Joyce is also a mandatory for the WBO heavyweight title and Dubois has now put himself in a position to challenge for the WBA (super) heavyweight title, a belt held by Oleksandr Usyk who faces Anthony Joshua again this summer.
Dubois did his part by securing a fourth round knockout of Trevor Bryan last Saturday and Frank Warren told talkSPORT Fury was impressed.
“I was talking to Tyson about it yesterday, we had quite a chat about it and Tyson was really impressed with what he did, as was his dad, John. John is a big fan of Daniel,” Warren said.
“He's a young man, so of course he's going to be there. Tyson is 32/33 now. Joshua is 33/34. What's Usyk now? Joe Joyce is about 34 now, he's in a mandatory position with the WBO. So Daniel is the young guy out of all of them,” Warren said of the 24-year-old Dubois.
“He's won the WBA heavyweight title. What happens is, if you unify the title, then the WBA make you a super champion and when you're a super champion, you don't have to make any mandatory challenges for 18 months.
“So what happens is, the guys in the number one, number two, number three positions, they're just sitting there. They're not getting their opportunity to fight for the title.
“So now he will fight the super champion. Daniel Dubois has earned that right. He's in a fabulous position to face the winner of Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk,” Warren explained.
Dubois has history with many of the top heavyweights in the game today through past sparring sessions in the gym.
Beyond that, Dubois believes he has grown as a fighter in recent years and he is now ready to challenge the elite where it matters, inside the ring.
“I've sparred most of the top guys in the division but I'm coming of age now. I'm mature and it's time to step up and be the man. Now I'm ready to take that step and push on,” Dubois told talkSPORT.
Dubois, 18-1, will be a keen observer of Joshua versus Usyk, a clash Matchroom are expected to announce this week for Saudi Arabia on August 20.
