Julius Francis took part in charity boxing match to raise money for retired boxer with cancer one week before video of him knocking out aggressive punter at BOXPARK emerged

More than 20 years after Julius Francis made the headlines for taking on Mike Tyson, he is back in the news for fighting... but this time outside of the ring.
Footage has emerged of the retired 57-year-old boxer, who now works security at BOXPARK Wembley, attempting to remove an aggressive customer from the venue and then flooring him.
In the video, the man can be seen fighting with some of the other security guards and as he approaches Francis he raises his arm and the former British and Commonwealth champion unleashes a crushing right hook which appeared to leave the aggressor unconscious on the ground.
The Met Police have acknowledged the incident, saying: "Police are aware of footage circulating on social media showing an incident involving security staff and a member of the public outside BOXPARK in Wembley.
“An investigation into the circumstances, including to establish the identity and welfare of those involved, is under way. There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.”
There has been a lot of debate on social media as to whether Francis chose the right course of action or if violence is never the answer.
Even the founder/CEO of BOXPARK got involved posting his own statement in support of Francis.
Kugan Cassius of also chimed in, shedding light on the more charitable side of Francis, as revealing that the retired boxer had been involved in a charity boxing fight just last week.
"Went a little under the radar," Cassius said. "But last Friday Julius Francis at 57 fought ex pro Dan Cadman in a charity fight in order to raise money for Mark Potter who is sadly battling cancer.
"Julius Francis is one of the most respectful and nicest people in the sport."
Potter is former heavyweight boxer who once fought for the British and Commonwealth titles and retired with a record of 21-5 (14 KO's).
Earlier this year, Potter was given 18 months to live after being diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer and Francis was boxing to raise money for his fellow former fighter.
