Khabib Nurmagomedov called out Floyd Mayweather and boasted about dropping Conor McGregor when he met his promoter Leonard Ellerbe

Khabib Nurmagomedov called out Floyd Mayweather for a boxing match when he bumped into his promoter Leonard Ellerbe.
In late 2018, fresh off the back of his win over Conor McGregor, the UFC lightweight king was at home in Russia attending a World Boxing Super Series event.
The card showcased a quarter-final from the WBSS cruiserweight tournament ongoing at the time between Russia's Ruslan Fayfer and America's Andrew Tabiti.
Tabiti was promoted by Mayweather Promotions at the time and therefore Floyd's right-hand man Ellerbe had flown to Russia for the bout.
This was little over a year since they'd staged Mayweather vs McGregor.
Khabib met up with Ellerbe at ringside and the pair shook hands.
They then filmed a video together in which Khabib called out Mayweather for a boxing match.
Khabib said: "Hey, let's go Floyd, we have to fight now. 50-0 vs 27-0, two guys who never lose.
"Let's go, why not?
"In the jungle, only one king. Only one king."
At this point a voice behind the camera asked: "Who is the king?"
To which Khabib replied: "Of course I am the king.
"Because he cannot drop McGregor, but I dropped him easily.
"That's why, let's go."
In the end, despite talks to stage Mayweather vs Khabib in the Middle East, the fight never ended up coming to fruition.
