Tyson Fury does not believe Joe Joyce can take his heavyweight crown, despite his KO victory over Joseph Parker.

On Saturday night, Joyce made a huge statement in the heavyweight division by knocking out a man who had previously never been stopped in Joseph Parker.

It was a terrific contest, as both men ate punch after punch, but Joyce's steel chin came to his aid, as he looked unfazed by Parker landing huge shots to eventually stop the man from New Zealand with a left hook in the 11th round.

This win over Parker, who had previously been the distance with both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, proves that Joyce belongs with the elite of the division, although Fury is not so sure.

“He wouldn’t land one punch on me in twelve rounds," .

"I don’t think he could hit me if he had a f****** handful of rice.

"Listen, he’s a big man, but I’m bigger. He’s heavy, but I’m heavier. So that’s it.

"He’s a good fighter, but it is what it is, I’m the best in the world for a reason.”

With that being said, Joyce caught up with Fury after his fight with Parker and he seems up for the challenge of taking on 'The Gypsy King'.

He told talkSPORT: “It was just a friendly hello.

“I’m not saying anything, but he knows I’m here. He knows I’m here and if he wants to fight me, let’s get it on.

“I’ve got a lot of respect and love for the Fury’s but yeah, I will fight Tyson.

“It is a tough challenge, but I am ready.”
