‘This is surreal’ – Floyd Mayweather and Deji crack up during face-off as pair meet for first time at press conference ahead of exhibition fight

Floyd Mayweather and Deji could barely contain their laughter as they faced off for the first time on Thursday.

The 50-0 retired boxing legend is set to face the British YouTuber in a bizarre exhibition fight on November 13 in Dubai, UAE.

Since retiring from professional contests in 2017, Mayweather has returned to the ring for occasional exhibitions.

In 2022, he has been very active with three of these contests in total.

Floyd began in May with a bout in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which saw him beat up his former sparring partner Don Moore.

Then, in September, he travelled to Japan and knocked out MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura.

And it has now been announced that this will be followed up a November 13 return to the UAE, this time in Dubai, for a meeting with Deji.

Deji, 25, was in school when Mayweather was in his fighting prime.

The younger brother of YouTube sensation KSI started his own channel and made his own name in his teenage years.

When KSI made a move into boxing in 2018, Deji followed by facing Jake Paul on the undercard of KSI vs Logan Paul.

Now, remarkably he is set to face one of the greatest boxers of all time.

When they met at their presser in Las Vegas on Thursday, Deji was respectful to Mayweather, who returned the politeness.

As they faced off, both men struggled to keep their composure and started laughing.

Deji told after the event: "I mean what can I say? This is surreal.

"Never did I think this would happen. I don't know what's going on, this is amazing.

"I'm just here to have fun, realistically.

"This whole thing, I'm here to have fun.

"Obviously I'm gonna be competitive, but I'm here to have fun.

"I wanna show Floyd what I can do. We'll see what happens."
