Dillian Whyte was not convinced by Deontay Wilder crying after knocking out Robert Helenius last weekend.

After a year out of the ring, having not fought since being stopped by Tyson Fury, Wilder made a triumphant return, knocking out Helenius in emphatic fashion.

After the fight, Wilder had an emotional press conference, talking about the dangers of boxing and referencing Prichard Colon who suffered a life-altering brain injury as a result of a fight in 2015.

"We’ve seen what happens, look at Colon. How he got hit, Prichard Colon, correct," Wilder said.

"This man didn't have no kids… they don't understand. Y'all don't f****** understand what we go through, man. And I don't even know him like that, but I will always be an advocate for us.

"Because this man will never know what it's like to be somebody's father. And that's one of the most precious things in the world, to be somebody's father.

"He will never be nobody's father, man. Because he got in the ring to support his family but now, his family got to take care of him for the rest of his life.

"He was probably the bread winner in his family and now they're looking and seeking for help and s*** like that.

"I could say so much about it [knocking Helenius out], man. That's why you can't play this, this is serious. We don't know if Robert is going to be the same after this. I just did a job.

"I'm great at what I do but I don't mean to take people away from the lifestyle they're living. I'm just trying to support my family as well."

This is a big U-turn from Wilder's past attitude, as he has previously said that he wants a 'body' on his record and so Dillian Whyte thinks 'The Bronze Bomber's' tears at the press conference were 'fake'.

"Even fake crying at the press conference the other day, I was just like, 'you just make me sick, you piece of s***'," .

'The Bodysnatcher' went on to talk about the fact that he has never faced Wilder in the ring, despite being his mandatory challenger for four years.

"I heard that Wilder still doesn't want to fight me," Whyte said.

"He is the biggest fraud in all of sport, never mind boxing.

"Who doesn't fight his number one contender for over four years and then claims he is the greatest of all time?

"He hasn't actually beaten anyone of note yet. He is just a cowardly con man."

Whyte and Wilder may still fight in the future, but for now, the Brit will have to turn his attention to Jermaine Franklin, who he will fight on November 26 at Wembley Arena.
