‘Maybe he’s been humbled’ – Tyson Fury reacts to Deontay Wilder crying after brutally knocking out Robert Helenius

Tyson Fury believes he may be behind Deontay Wilder's more sensitive side that saw him cry after his most recent KO win.
In the past, 'The Bronze Bomber' made the very controversial statement that he wants a 'body' on his record, meaning he wants to kill someone in the ring, but recently he seems to have done a complete U-turn.
In October, Wilder returned to the ring for the first time since being stopped in his trilogy bout with Fury a year ago, knocking out Robert Helenius in the first round in stunning fashion.
After the fight Wilder was extremely emotional and he even broke down in tears at the post-fight press conference.
"My heart out goes out to him and I hope he’s doing okay and he’ll be able to go back to his family," Wilder said.
"People always go on about records and all this. They said, ‘Oh he lost, oh he’s a bum,’ and all that. Well you get your bum ass in there then…
"Yeah it’s a great knockout, it’s devastating, but how much is that man gonna suffer?"
Wilder went on to reference Prichard Colon, who suffered a life-altering brain injury as a result of a fight in 2015 and is now cared for by his family.
”We’ve seen what happens, look at Colon. How he got hit.
“This man didn’t have no kids… they don’t understand. Y’all don’t f****** understand what we go through, man. And I don’t even know him like that, but I will always be an advocate for us.
“Because this man will never know what it’s like to be somebody’s father and that’s one of the most precious things in the world, to be somebody’s father.
“He will never be nobody’s father, man. Because he got in the ring to support his family but now, his family got to take care of him for the rest of his life.
“He was probably the bread winner in his family and now they’re looking and seeking for help.
“I could say so much about it [knocking Helenius out], man. That’s why you can’t play this, this is serious. We don’t know if Robert is going to be the same after this. I just did a job.
“I’m great at what I do but I don’t mean to take people away from the lifestyle they’re living. I’m just trying to support my family as well."
Wilder followed up with another poignant moment, as he went to visit Helenius in his dressing room after the fight and the pair shared a lengthy embrace.
“You okay? I love you man. I’m sorry,” Wilder was heard saying as the two heavyweights hugged it out.
Helenius replied: “Don’t be sorry. This is your time, I’m out, I’ve been doing this for 25 years. Thanks for the opportunity.”
Recently appearing on the , Fury was asked about Wilder's change of heart and he believes that it might have been down to 'The Bronze Bomber' getting stopped twice in their trilogy of fights.
"Maybe I knocked a bit of sense into him and maybe he's been humbled from the three beatings I gave the sucker," Fury said.
"He's a former knockout victim of 'The Gypsy King'."
