Oleskandr Usyk gave himself a 3/10 for his performance in his second fight at heavyweight against Derek Chisora and was already eyeing undisputed world glory, which he could get against Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury, Derek Chisora and Oleksandr Usyk have created somewhat of a heavyweight fight triangle.
It all began when former undisputed cruiserweight champion, Usyk, decided to dive head first into the heavyweight division where, for his second fight and first real test, he took on Chisora.
The heavyweight veteran pushed Usyk all the way, applying constant pressure, but the Ukrainian used his superior speed, footwork and boxing skills to win a hard-earned unanimous decision victory.
After the fight, however, Usyk was not particularly pleased with his own performance, only rating it 3/10.
"It is a real test at heavyweight," he said in post-fight interview.
"Chisora is a big guy, a hard guy. I was expecting the fight like that and an even tougher fight."
Despite what Usyk considered a poor performance, ultimately Chisora was just a stepping stone for higher ambitions, as when asked whether he still wanted to become a heavyweight world champion, he replied, "Absolutely.
"The undisputed world heavyweight champion. Not just world champion."
This left just two men in the way of Usyk's dream to become undisputed heavyweight world champion, the WBA, WBO and IBF champion, Anthony Joshua, and the WBC champion, Tyson Fury.
Usyk has since dealt with Joshua, out-boxing him twice to claim his unified world titles and it seemed the obvious next step was Fury.
There are reportedly ongoing talks for that fight to take place in March 2023 in Saudi Arabia, but in the meantime, Fury has made the slightly unexpected move to take on Chisora on December 3.
This will be the third time the pair have met, with Fury beating Chisora by unanimous decision in 2011 and then he followed up with a stoppage victory in 2014.
Usyk, like many others, has questioned why Fury has decided to fight Chisora for a third time, even saying the announcement made him laugh.
As for Fury, he has shared a number of reasons for the bout, with the main one being that he has been out of the ring for eight months and wants a 'keep busy' fight ahead of a potential clash with Usyk.
Fury has also said that he wants to be the first heavyweight champion in history to have two trilogies, with the first being his hugely exciting trio of fights with Deontay Wilder.
For boxing fans sake, lets hope that like Usyk's fight against Chisora, Fury's December 3 bout with 'Del Boy' is merely a stepping to stone to seeing the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era being crowned next year.
