‘It’s hilarious’ – Bob Arum details what it’s like working with Tyson Fury and compares WBC champion with Muhammad Ali

Tyson Fury's unpredictability could make him difficult to work with, but his promoter Bob Arum loves it.
The WBC heavyweight champion is known for being one of the most entertaining characters in world boxing, whether it's his press conference antics or his showmanship in the ring.
Even before Fury became world champion he had the same sense of humour - when he arrived in Germany to take on Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015, he announced himself as, "der Sexymeister from Great Britain.”
At the press conference for the same fight, he turned up dressed as Batman and fought with someone in a Joker costume.
After Fury beat Kiltschko, he berated the Ukrainian, saying, "Shame on you, you let a fat man beat you. I don’t even live an athlete’s lifestyle. It’s a disgrace to call me an athlete.”
This is just a small insight into the entertainer that is Fury, but part of what makes him so entertaining his unpredictability.
Just take this last year, for example...
Fury started 2022 by knocking out Dillian Whyte in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, but then he retired.

The retirement did not last long, however, as Fury returned before the end of the year and it looked like he might fight Anthony Joshua, but instead he came up against Derek Chisora in a trilogy bout on December 3.
'The Gypsy King's' promoter, Bob Arum, addressed what it is like to work with him, and even went as far as comparing him to the legendary fighter and orator Muhammad Ali.
The 91-year-old American said: "You could call it eccentric and erratic, but I call it fun, it's hilarious.
"He's a very intelligent guy and I love talking to him and he has a tremendous personality, like [Muhammad] Ali had.
"I enjoy being around somebody like that, so I would rather have Tyson being Tyson than have some mug talking in monosyllables.
"I really enjoy everything about Tyson Fury. He brings a smile to my face and I think that's important."
