KSI says he ‘hates’ Wakey Wines selling Prime energy drink for ‘insane’ £100 a bottle and says people are ‘taking advantage of the hype’ after telling fans to ‘stop buying it at these prices’

KSI says he 'hates' the craziness that has ensued around his and Logan Paul's energy drink, Prime.

Back in 2019, KSI and fellow YouTuber Logan Paul were enemies, as they faced off in the boxing ring but, since their duo of fights, they have become friends and business partners, co-founding the drink company, Prime Hydration.

It initially launched in the UK in Asda, before also moving to Aldi, but the demand has been so high that it has caused chaos in stores all over the country, with customers scrambling to get their hands on the drink.

It has even got to the point where other individuals and retailers, such as the infamous 'Wakey Wines', have been bulk buying the product and selling it on for as much as £100 a bottle or can.

While KSI is undoubtedly pleased with the success of Prime - which has secured a deal as hydration partner with the club he supports, Arsenal - he told talkSPORT that he 'hates' anyone 'taking advantage of the hype'.

Asked on talkSPORT Breakfast whether he expected this response to the launch of Prime, KSI replied: "I thought it would do OK, because it had me and Logan Paul promoting it and we both have very big fanbases.

"But I didn't expect it to be this insane to the point that people are paying £100 for a can of Prime or £25 for a bottle of Prime hydration, it's going crazy."

The British social media star was then asked what he thinks of those people selling the drink on for extortionate prices and he made himself very clear, saying: "I hate it.

"There's a guy called 'Wakey Wines' and I don't know if it's a joke or not, but either way it's terrible practice.

"People want to try these drinks and they have not got the chance to try the drinks.

"They see me promote it and I know a lot of people are inspired by me and interested in the things that I promote... so when people saw that I was promoting Prime they wanted to try it.

"But, now you have people who are bulk buying and selling it for stupid prices and taking advantage of the hype and I hate it."

KSI has even taken to social media to hit out at the Wakefield shop.

Directly responding to a video from 'Wakey Wines' that apparently shows a woman buying a case of Prime for £1,200, KSI screamed: "Oh my god, NO!

"He can't keep getting away with this! Stop buying it at these prices!"

For the time being, however, KSI will need to turn his attention from Prime to his upcoming fight, as he is set to clash with Faze Temperrr on January 14 live on talkSPORT.
