‘It’s a foregone conclusion that Tommy will win’ – John Fury confirms he intends to retire Tommy Fury if he doesn’t beat Jake Paul

John Fury is not messing around when he says he will retire his son Tommy Fury from boxing if he loses against Jake Paul.

Tommy vs Jake is reportedly a 'done deal' for February 25, with the location expected to be Saudi Arabia.

"It's 99 per cent done," John confirmed to talkSPORT .

"We have been in camp before Christmas so are ahead of schedule. Things are going really well; we are looking to put a great fight on for the fans."

This is the third time this fight has been scheduled, and on both previous occasions Tommy has had to pull out, but this time John is confident both men will make it into the ring.

"If they don't, it's a doomed contest," John said. "But both boys want to fight, so I can't see any issues. It’s a great venue they’ve got and the fans have been waiting a long time for this."

Previously, John had said that he would retire Tommy if he doesn't beat Jake.

And he has now revealed to talkSPORT that, while he believes his son will have no problem beating the American social media star, if he doesn't, he fully intends to follow through on his threats.

When asked about the claim, John replied: "Absolutely, no shadow of a doubt. There is no more boxing for him if he loses.

"But, I am 100 per cent confident he will knock him out.

"It's a big ask for Jake Paul, because Tommy is much better than what he's faced before, so fair do's to him.

"It's a foregone conclusion that Tommy will win.

"We are not leaving a stone unturned and are training as if this were against a world-class fighter. He's working really well.

"Tommy will be very famous on the 26th of February."
