‘It’s f***ing frustrating’ – Dillian Whyte angry that Anthony Joshua is fighting Jermaine Franklin next

Dillian Whyte is not pleased with promoter Eddie Hearn's false promises that he would be fighting Anthony Joshua next.

Joshua is expected to take on American heavyweight Jermaine Franklin on April 1 at the O2 Arena.

Franklin's last fight came against Whyte in November last year and it ended in a controversial majority decision victory for the Brit.

Franklin claimed in the aftermath that he was 'robbed' by the judges, although Whyte disputes this.

Either way, Whyte was given the decision and Joshua's promoter, Hearn, had previously said the winner of that fight would take on 'AJ' next. Now, though, it has transpired that in fact the loser, Franklin, will get a shot at the former two-time heavyweight world champion instead.

While Hearn is still saying that Joshua will fight Whyte later in the year, this has been a very frustrating turn of events for 'The Bodysnatcher'.

“I am all right but facing the usual b******s, I just want to make some fights but it’s f***ing frustrating," .

“Everyone was told, all the boxing fans, the winner of me and Franklin fights AJ, so this is a f***ed up thing.

“I would have been better off losing the Franklin fight and getting the AJ fight!”

Whyte added: “I know DAZN need content for their subscribers but why choose to fight a low-profile American coming off a loss instead of having a massive British tear-up?

“It’s no surprise to me that they have chosen April 1 for this battle of the fools.

“I faced Franklin, the most dangerous and undefeated version of him, and beat him.

“Eddie was promising him many millions to fight AJ if he beat me.

“It’s protecting AJ because they all know if he loses again he will probably jack it in and a lot of people will be left with limp d***s in their hands.”
