‘I fancy myself’ – Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers hopes Floyd Mayweather exhibition will help him secure fights with KSI, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury
Aaron Chalmers is hoping his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather can help him secure future matchups with some of the biggest names in influencer boxing.
Last month, the Geordie Shore star was surprisingly booked to face Mayweather in an exhibition bout at the O2 arena in London on February 25.

‘The Best Ever’ has been traveling the world since retiring in 2017 taking novelty fights against novice opponents such as YouTuber stars Logan Paul and Deji.
Now, he’s coming to the UK to face Chalmers who stepped in after ONE Championship Muay Thai fighter Liam Harrison fell out of a fight with Mayweather due to injury.
‘The Joker’ transitioned to boxing last year and won his debut after competing seven times as an MMA fighter before calling time on his career.
Chalmers is hoping a good performance against Mayweather will set him up for potential fights with KSI, Jake Paul, and Tommy Fury later this year.
He told Gareth A. Davies: “I feel towards to end of last year all of them kind of people were getting away from us.
"They were kind of getting out of reach [because] I wasn’t active and I had a lot going on in my personal life. I started to think these fights are not going to happen. A little bit of good luck has come back around and put us in this position.

“I fancy myself. I would love to get in with Jake, Tommy, and KSI.
"Once I fight them three I would happily sail off into the sunset with me kids. I know that’s my kids set up for the rest of their lives if that happens.
“Of course, I’m chasing them fights but the main focus at the moment is Floyd. Apparently, Jake and Tommy fight the same night, so give me the winner or the loser of that fight.”
The 35-year-old has respect for what internet celebrities are doing in boxing but questions if they are willing to dig deep when times get tough in the ring.

Chalmers added: “Fair play to all these YouTubers they are doing absolutely amazing and I want to be a part of it.
"These kids, no disrespect to them, they’ve never had a normal job. They’ve not got up at 5 o’clock in the morning to go carry scaffold around a building site.
“So, when it comes down to swinging and having some heart have half of these got the balls?
"I don’t think they have. It would be nice to see if it came to bite down on the come shield, let’s have a fight. I think half of them would bottle it.”
