Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers reveals touching tribute to his children with gum shield for Floyd Mayweather fight

Aaron Chalmers has revealed the sentimental gum shield he’ll wear during his fight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
Last month, the Geordie Shore star was surprisingly booked to face Mayweather in an exhibition bout at the O2 arena in London on February 25 after a fight between ‘Money' and Muay Thai fighter Liam Harrison fell through.
Ahead of his second trip to the square circle, ‘The Joker’ took to social media to reveal he will be wearing a yellow gum shield that includes three hearts dedicated to his three children.
Chalmers and his former partner Talia Oatway are parents to Romeo, Maddox, and Oakley who are all under the age of three.
The 35-year-old revealed in a story on Instagram that he had to get a new gum shield because his one-year-old, Maddox, threw his previous one in the bin.
Chalmers said: “New gum shield for the fight cause I've got no idea, I've lost my other one.
"My son Maddox has took it out of my bag and put it in the bin.
"But yeah, [each heart] for the three boys."
‘The Joker’ transitioned to boxing last year and won his debut fight after competing seven times in MMA and impressing with his KO power before deciding to lace up the gloves.
Chalmers has his work cut out against Mayweather who at the peak of his powers was arguably the best boxer of all time and recorded wins over Manny Pacquiao, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Ricky Hatton, Conor McGregor, and many more.
After retiring with a perfect 50-0 record in 2017, the 45-year-old began cashing in with exhibition bouts against novice opponents such as YouTuber Logan Paul.
Chalmers is hoping a good performance against Mayweather will put him in contention for potential fights with the biggest names in influencer boxing - Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, and KSI.
He told Gareth A. Davies: “I fancy myself. I would love to get in with Jake, Tommy, and KSI.
“Once I fight them three, I would happily sail off into the sunset with me kids. I know that’s my kids set up for the rest of their lives if that happens.
“Of course, I’m chasing them fights but the main focus at the moment is Floyd. Jake and Tommy fight the [next night], so give me the winner or the loser of that fight.”
