Former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton has made two bold predictions ahead of Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury.

Frampton believes Paul will win the eagerly anticipated grudge match at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia on Sunday before Fury walks away from the sport.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer currently boasts a 6-0 professional record but its legitimacy has been called into question as he’s yet to face an opponent with a background in the sport.

Tyson Fury’s little brother made his name on reality TV but is thought to have been a boxer all his life.

However, ‘The Jackal’ is not convinced that is true and that’s why he’s picking Paul to win tomorrow night.

Frampton told talkSPORT Drive: “I think Jake Paul will win the fight. I have a feeling, let me explain.

“So, people talk about Tommy Fury being a boxer and he’s been a boxer all his days. I don’t know if that’s true. I’d never heard of Tommy Fury until after Love Island and then he suddenly had this professional career. A lot of it is to do with his brother, Tyson Fury

“I think they’ve been boxing a similar amount of time, and when you look at the opponents, although Jake Paul hasn’t fought a professional boxer – he’s fought MMA guys – his level of opposition has probably been better than Tommy Fury’s.”

Ahead of the biggest fight of his life, pressure has been piled on Fury by his family who are adamant defeat is simply not an option for the 8-0 prospect.

‘The Gypsy King’ has said his little brother will be forced to change his last name and stay in Saudi Arabia to work as a personal trainer for football icon Cristiano Ronaldo if he loses.

Tommy’s dad, John Fury, has repeatably claimed that he will make his son retire from boxing if he falls short against Paul despite the fact he’s considered the underdog in the fight.

If his prediction is correct and Paul beats Fury, Frampton thinks that the 23-year-old will quit boxing due to a combination of shame and pressure.

He added: “I don’t think either of these is ever going to be a world champion, that’s the harsh truth of it.

“I don’t think he has to retire if he loses to Jake Paul, but I think the embarrassment of it and the pressure that’s been put on his shoulders makes it difficult to probably not retire from the sport.”
