Conor McGregor believes he could beat both Carl Froch and George Groves at the same time in a UFC fight.

The Irishman has called out the British boxing legends and old rivals on Twitter to fight him 'in the cage'.

"I’ll slaughter Froch and Groves at the same time in the cage," McGregor said on Twitter on Saturday night.

To put this in context, McGregor has been feuding with Froch for a while but most recently 'The Cobra' was talking to Groves about who would win between the Irishman and YouTuber Jake Paul, who has called out the two-weight UFC champion on a number of occasions.

Froch picked McGregor to win, before adding: "I’m too big for both of them.

“Jake Paul I’d only need one arm, Conor McGregor might give me a few small problems but he’s too small.

“If I’m fighting Conor McGregor in a cage I’d train harder because I would fight Conor McGregor in the cage.

“I could be getting myself in trouble here or into a position I can’t wiggle out of, but I think I’d take him on in the cage. Is that ridiculous, am I wrong?

“I’d take him on in a cage, he’s too small.”

At the time McGregor responded on Twitter calling for promoter Eddie Hearn to get the fight made, as he said: "Eddie Hearn, get this signed up lad,” with a crying laughing emoji.

But, now it seems McGregor does not believe Froch alone would be enough of a challenge, as he is coming after Groves too.

For the time being, however, McGregor will have to turn his attention from retired boxers to an active UFC fighter in Michael Chandler, who he is expected to fight in the Octagon later this year.
