I got KO’d by Canelo and beat John Ryder so here’s my prediction for the fight

Rocky Fielding has experienced what it's like to fight both Canelo and John Ryder.
The duo face each other on Saturday night in what will be the first time Canelo has fought in his native Mexico since 2011, meaning Ryder will be a huge underdog going into the bout.
In 2018, Fielding was in a very similar position to what Ryder is coming up against now, as he fought Canelo at the height of his powers at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Fielding only lasted three rounds, succumbing to a brutal body attack from Canelo that saw the referee wave of the contest.
In terms of what Ryder can expect from Canelo, Fielding explained in an interview with talkSPORT: "There are levels in boxing and I was up against it experience wise.
"He was one step ahead all the time and caught me with some good shots.
"I got him at his very good time, he was coming up in weight and he hadn’t had to kill himself to make the weight, he was comfortable and probably ate what he wanted.
"His experience showed, he had his first professional fight at 15, I was at kicking a ball about and going to the shops at 15 and I didn’t know where I was going in my boxing career, while he was fighting men."
A year earlier, Fielding clashed with Ryder in Liverpool and came away with a split decision victory and he believes his fellow Brit can give Canelo a tough night.
"[Ryder's] a southpaw fighter, he’s strong, tough and in your face. His last couple of performances he’s put the pressure on and looked good doing so and in his last fight he stopped Zach Parker with his pressure," Fielding said.
"But, Canelo is strong too and will match him, so it’s about who comes off best.
"I don’t think Ryder's going to out-box him, but he’s going to have to take it to him, rough him up, take it to the later rounds and see how he gets on.
"Experience wise with Canelo he has an answer for everything, but Ryder will be a tough night for him."
Despite being a former rival or Ryder's, Fielding is hoping he emerges victorious, as he gave his prediction for the fight, saying: "I’m happy Ryder’s got the shot, he’s had some great wins and performances over the last couple of years and each fight he looks like he’s improving.
"Even though he’s a seasoned pro now and he’s been around, he’s looking good.
"Canelo is Canelo, he’s a very good fighter. Bivol did the job on him, but Ryder is not Bivol and I think it will be a good fight, but Canelo will come on strong and get the win.
"I’m want Ryder to win, I hope he can pull it off, he’s a great lad, we fought but we’ve had no problems since then, he’s beat who he’s been put in with and he’s on a good win streak now."
