Bemused boxing fans reacted on social media after watching JiDion sing the American national anthem during KSI’s latest boxing card.

The YouTuber, who has gained more than seven million subscribers by posting videos including viral public pranks, was bizarrely asked to sing before a 56-stone fight took place.

JiDion proceeded to screech throughout his version of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ which was so bad fans inside London’s Wembley Arena began to boo.

The 22-year-old has since taken to social media to share a clip of his performance and joke: ‘They loved me.’

However, people were a mixture of shocked and amused by his terrible singing voice, according to the comments under Ariel Helwani’s post about it.

The veteran MMA reporter took to Twitter midway through JiDion’s latest prank to react to what he believes is the worst version of the song he’s ever heard.

"Yo this guy singing the national Anthem at Misfits is 100% responsible for the worst rendition of the anthem ever. What in the world. Carl Lewis levels,” Helwani wrote.

The Canadian soon followed up his tweet with a clip of the performance and congratulated JiDion for singing the US national anthem in a historically terrible fashion.

He added: “Is this the worst rendition of the national anthem ever!? I say yes. Congrats JiDion”

JiDion replied: “Lord please take the hate out this man’s heart”

Helwani wasn’t the only person who had mixed feelings about the performance.

“I can’t decide if I’m humored or offended,” one Twitter user commented.

“Mad disrespectful lol,” another said.

“Its JiDion lmfao it was never meant to be serious,” a third person tweeted.

KSI just replied with a bunch of laughing emojis, suggesting he knew what was going to happen when he asked JiDion to sing at his event which only got weirder after that.

Celebrity gamer WingsOfRedemption (real name Jordie McCraty Jordan) squared off against sketch comedian Boogie2988 (real name Steven Jay Williams) as soon as JiDion left the ring.

They were matched together due to their size with both unable to find any others of a similar weight to fight against.

When they hit the scales on Friday, Boogie2988 stepped up first and weighed 391.6lbs before his opponent came in slightly heavier at 404.3lbs.

Wings landed a flurry of punches early, prompting the referee to give Boogie a standing eight-count – but he was allowed an extended break as his shorts kept falling down and needed to be taped up.

At the start of round two, Wings landed another barrage of punches and this time it was enough to force the stoppage and pick up a win in his debut.
