It has been a long-time coming but the pair have reportedly agreed to fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in July.

According to , both men are guaranteed to earn eight figures from the fight that will be broadcast on Showtime pay-per-view.

There is also a bidirectional rematch clause in place, which either Crawford or Spence can trigger within 30 days of the first fight and the rematch will have to happen before the end of 2023.

Subsequently, this means Crawford has signed a two-fight deal with promotional company, Premier Boxing Champions.

This has been the fight to make ever since Crawford vacated his undisputed 140lb titles in 2018 and moved up to welterweight to win the WBO strap.

Upcoming fights

As is typical of boxing though, due to promotional politics, it ended up taking five years for the fight to get made, but now it is happening for all the marbles.

While Crawford holds the WBO world title, Spence is the WBC, WBA and IBF world champion at 147 lbs.

But 33-year-old Spence has not fought since April last year when he knocked out Yordenis Ugas.

As for Crawford, he stopped David Avanesyan in December last year, but at 35 years old it was vital for him that this fight with Spence got made before he went past his prime.
