Tyson Fury tells Israel Adesanya ‘I ain’t getting in no cage’ as he shuts down Jon Jones UFC fight talk

Tyson Fury is not interested in crossing over to MMA.
‘The Gypsy King’ linked up with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya backstage at Joseph Parker’s Commonwealth title fight in Melbourne on Tuesday.
Fury playfully grappled with ‘The Last Stylebender’ who implored him to follow in the footsteps of Claressa Shields by testing himself in the sport of MMA.
“Ah, no. Listen, I ain’t going in no cage. F*** you! I’m a straight-up boxer. Queensberry rules, brother,” Fury replied.
The WBC heavyweight champion recently got fans excited about a potential crossover fight when he took to Twitter to blast Joe Rogan for predicting Jon Jones would beat him in a no holds barred match-up
Fury claimed that no one can beat him under any ruleset, prompting the UFC heavyweight champion to offer him a shot at the belt he won by submitting Ciryl Gane in March.
The 34-year-old distanced himself from a UFC debut and instead invited Jones to face him in the boxing ring before Dana White got involved with the social media beef.
White, who is usually against crossover bouts, told Fury to get in touch if he is serious about fighting Jones in the UFC before comparing the match-up to Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor.
However, it now seems Fury will not be reaching out and will instead continue looking for an opponent to face this summer during his trip Down Under.
The man widely regarded as boxing’s best heavyweight is in talks to fight the little-known Demsey McKean this August in Australia.
McKean is a 22-0 heavyweight best known to UK fans merely for being a sparring partner of Anthony Joshua's in the past.
If he gets by McKean, Fury can look forward to a potential undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk who currently holds three of the four major heavyweight belts.
It’s hoped that Fury and Usyk will clash on the same card ‘AJ’ fights Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia this December – talks are ongoing for the boxing mega-event.
