Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte's fierce 2015 rivalry came to an emphatic end when they met in the ring.

The pair first met in the amateurs and Whyte came out on top, but they clashed once again as unbeaten professionals in a battle for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles.

At the end of round one, punches were landed after the bell and it almost led to a mass brawl as members of both men's teams rushed into the ring.

After the referee had calmed things down, the fight continued and Joshua even found himself hurt in round two, but he recovered well.

By round seven, Joshua had gained control of the fight and he landed a heavy straight right hand that saw Whyte's legs turn to jelly, as AJ pounced.

Somehow, Whyte stayed on his feet, but this did not last long, as Joshua stalked him around the ring, eventually landing a thunderous uppercut that KO'd 'The Bodysnatcher' and left him sprawled against the ropes.

Joshua went on to become a two-time unified heavyweight world champion, while Whyte failed in his only attempt at a world title, getting knocked out by Tyson Fury.

More recently, there have been talks of a potential rematch between the pair, with Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn naming Whyte as the frontrunner to fight Joshua this summer.

Hearn revealed that Joshua is currently in camp and they have plans for him to return to the ring in early August.

But this is all subject to whether a fight can be made with Deontay Wilder for December later this year in Saudi Arabia.
