Floyd Mayweather is an outlandish character and this has been evident in his post-fight career.

Ever the entertainer as a professional, Mayweather has continued in this vein in retirement with his exhibition bouts.

Since hanging up his professional gloves, Mayweather has had seven exhibition bouts against MMA fighters, YouTubers, reality TV stars and a former sparring partner.

Here, talkSPORT looks at some of the chaos that has ensued from these exhibitions that Mayweather himself has described as 'legalised bank robbery'.

Made opponent cry

On New Years Eve in 2018, Mayweather was invited to Japan to take on 20-year-old kickboxer, Tenshin Nasukawa, for the lucrative sum of $9 million.

Mayweather accepted the offer, but no one said he had to take the event seriously and he didn't.

The self-proclaimed 'TBE' (The Best Ever) made it clear to his fans that he had not had a proper training camp and on fight night he left spectators waiting for two hours after the undercard had finished before he turned up.

The American outweighed his opponent considerably, having registered 154 lbs for his previous bout against Conor McGregor, while Nasukawa was accustomed to fighting at 128 lbs.

The size and experience difference showed on the night, as after a relaxed start from Mayweather, he knocked his opponent down three times in two minutes and the contest was waved off.

After the fight Nasukawa could be seen in tears as Mayweather's hand was held aloft.

Not paying Logan Paul

Next up, Mayweather came up against YouTuber-turned boxer Logan Paul in June 2021.

Once again, this fight was not without its controversy as even before the two men met in the ring, Mayweather got into an altercation with Logan's younger brother Jake Paul.

At a pre-fight event, Jake stole Mayweather's hat and a mass brawl ensued with even Logan getting involved.

On fight night, Mayweather once again cruised through the rounds, but this time the fight went the distance.

In the aftermath, Logan has accused Mayweather of not paying him in full on a number of occasions and this issue remains unresolved to this day.

Empty arena

After exhibition bouts against another Japanese MMA fighter in Mikuru Asakura, a former sparring partner in Don Moore and a YouTuber in Deji, Mayweather then decided to fight in the UK for the first time against reality TV star turned MMA fighter, Aaron Chalmers.

This was not controversial as such, but just quite embarrassing as the O2 Arena in London was largely empty on fight night.

Mid-fight, Mayweather was trash-talking Chalmers, dancing with the ring-card girls, sitting on the top rope between rounds and doing 360-degree spins.

In-ring mass brawl after John Gotti III clash

Arguably the most chaotic of all the Mayweather exhibitions came this last weekend, as he fought the son of former crime boss, John Gotti.

Prior to this fight John Gotti III had a professional boxing record of 2-0 and he also had an MMA background.

In the sixth round of the fight Gotti III was disqualified for consistent holding, but he continued to try and hit Mayweather even after the bout was waved off by the referee.

This was when all hell broke loose, as almost 50 people from both men's teams stormed into the ring and a mass brawl ensued.

Meanwhile fights also broke out in the crowd and backstage in scary scenes.
