Ricky Hatton has called on Floyd Mayweather to stop fighting YouTubers and reality TV stars in exhibition bouts.

Since retiring with an unbeaten record of 50-0, Mayweather has taken part in a number of exhibition bouts against a pair of Japanese MMA fighters, YouTubers Deji and Logan Paul, a former sparring partner, a reality TV star and the son of a former crime boss.

Almost every single one of these exhibitions has involved some sort of controversy, with his last bout against John Gotti III ending in a mass brawl.

Even Mayweather himself has described the exhibitions as 'legalised bank robbery'.

When asked for his opinion of Mayweather's recent exhibitions, Hatton told talkSPORT: "Floyd's arguably the greatest fighter that ever lived so he does not need a named opponent.

"He could fight Daffy Duck on the moon and people would turn up to watch Floyd Mayweather.

"With the cost of living these days, especially in this country, if I had my last £50 in my pocket, no disrespect, but I wouldn't pay to watch him fight someone from Geordie Shore or a YouTuber, give me a break.

"He's the greatest fighter in the world fighting TV stars. No, come on, stop it Floyd."

With that being said, however, it does not seem that Mayweather will be slowing down with the exhibitions any time soon, as he previously announced he was going on a five country tour of exhibitions called 'The Heist'.

This would include a fight in America, which he has already done, followed by bouts in Australia, Japan, Germany and South Korea, all before the end of the year.
