Brutal footage shows Manny Pacquiao punishing David Diaz then snapping his head back with KO to replace Floyd Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao decimated many a fighter in his time and one man who felt the full brunt of his relentless pressure was David Diaz.
The pair clashed in 2008 for the WBC lightweight crown, as Pacquiao attempted to become a five-weight world champion and he was successful in doing so.
Pacquiao peppered his opponent non-stop for nine rounds before unleashing the knockout blow.
He caught Diaz with a crushing left hand that snapped back his head and saw him collapse to the canvas face first.
The referee quickly waved off the fight and ever the sportsman, Pacquiao then attempted to grab his opponents hand and help him back to his feet.
This was before he was picked up by a member of his team and carried away to celebrate in front of his adoring fans.
The fight came just weeks after Floyd Mayweather Jr had announced he was retiring from boxing following his win over Ricky Hatton, although he made a comeback just over a year later.
Mayweather's absence and this stunning win from Pacquiao meant that the man from the Philippines took over as the number one pound-for-pound boxer in the sport.
Reportedly, the fight sold 250,000 pay-per-views at a $49.99 price point and 'Pac-Man' himself earned over $3million for the fight.
Pacquiao would go on to become the only eight-weight world champion in the history of boxing, winning world titles all the way from flyweight up to super welterweight.
