Anthony Joshua believes Eddie Hearn will feel 'wounded' due to no longer promoting Canelo Alvarez.

Speaking to the media after his press conference with Dillian Whyte for their upcoming fight on August 12, talk turned to Canelo.

Canelo and Joshua used to be promoted by the same man, Hearn, but that is no longer the case.

The Matchroom Boxing chairman and his Mexican client got on well, with Canelo even gifting Hearn a pair of Dolce & Gabbana pyjamas that he ended up wearing to a weigh-in.

But now the former pound-for-pound number one has signed with Premier Boxing Champions to set up fights against Jermell Charlo and David Benavidez.

As Joshua was discussing Canelo, Derek Chisora chimed in, saying: "What do you think Eddie feels like right now because he's not promoting Canelo?"

"Wounded, I think it's crazy," Joshua replied.

"I heard he's been crying in his bed," Chisora said as he followed up.

'Del Boy' then added: "I bet you money he won't be wearing that Dolce & Gabbana anymore," as Joshua began laughing hysterically and clapped his hands.

AJ also took the time to defend Canelo from his critics, as he said: "Credit to Canelo, he’s active.

"They’re trying to say Canelo’s not who he once was. People have just got something to say about everyone and everything. Canelo’s a serious fighter, one of the best."

Joshua continued by talking about the Mexican's upcoming clash with Charlo on September 30: "With Charlo, they’re confident that he’ll beat Canelo, and the reason is speed & strength.

"The only thing is that with Charlo, he’s been out of the ring for a long time. Two years, three years? Yeah, Canelo is active, he’s busy, but I rate Canelo.

“They say he’s finished. You’re only finished when you’re done."
