Jake Paul has uploaded the close-up ringside footage of his knockdown of Nate Diaz last Saturday.

The American YouTuber-turned-boxer floored his foe in round five of their ten-round contest, which ultimately went the distance with Paul winning on points.

The fight got off to a dramatic opening as the social media star hurt the MMA fighter in the very first round.

Paul staggered Diaz early and then unleashed a flurry of shots that had him on the ropes as he desperately tried to stay standing in his boxing debut.

Diaz managed to survive to the bell and improved as the rounds went on.

He appeared to win the fourth as Paul looked a bit tired for the first time in the fight.

More From Paul vs Diaz

However, in round five Paul caught Diaz with a clean left hook to score a knockdown and almost send his opponent flying out of the ring.

Diaz fell to the canvas and faceplanted before regaining composure and getting back to his feet.

Paul rushed in for the finish but was unable to find it.

In the second half of the fight, both men seemed fatigued at times and Paul's boxing experience was key to him winning the majority of the rounds.

It was very scrappy action though and went the full ten-round distance with Paul unable to win by knockout.

In the final seconds, Diaz even locked him in a guillotine choke.

Paul was declared the winner by unanimous decision, but Diaz claimed moral victory with many nonplussed by Paul's performance, including KSI.
