Daniel Dubois was dropped three times in the first round against Kevin Lerena before turning fight on its head with KO

Daniel Dubois will come up against one of the best southpaws in the history of the sport on Saturday night against Oleksandr Usyk.
And if his most recent clash with a southpaw is anything to go by then it does not bode well.
Late last year, Dubois fought South Africa's Kevin Lerena in a bout everyone thought would be a walkover, although it was anything but.
The Brit found himself on the canvas three times in the opening round to the shock of the crowd in attendance.
It all began when Lerena landed a left hook to the top of Dubois' head that seemed to make him lose his balance.
The next two knockdowns were bizarre, as Dubois dropped to his knees on both occasions without taking a punch, still appearing to be struggling with his equilibrium.

But, fortunately for Dubois, he managed to compose himself and knocked down Lerena twice in the third round before the fight was stopped.
After the contest, Dubois blamed his knockdowns on a knee injury. "I think my knee went, or something like that," he said.
"I got caught quite high on my head and then after that I thought ‘where is this shot coming from?’ because I didn’t see it and then the knee went. I recovered quickly and got my senses back together.
"To be honest, in the first round, I don’t think I was on it really. I was there, but I weren’t really there in my mind.

"When I got knocked down, I got back up like ‘right, I am in a fight’, I was awake then, it was strange."
And the Brit will be hoping to avoid a similar situation when he comes up against Usyk on Saturday night in a battle for the unified WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world titles.
