Daniel Dubois labels Tony Bellew as a ‘hater’ after being accused of quitting against Oleksandr Usyk

Daniel Dubois has hit back at Tony Bellew following his comments after his loss against Oleksandr Usyk.
The Brit was beaten by Usyk over the weekend, as he was stopped in the ninth round after getting dropped twice and being counted out by the referee.
There was also a huge amount of controversy, as Dubois put Usyk down in round five with an attempted body shot, but it was ruled as a low blow by the referee and the Ukrainian was given more than three minutes to recover.
Dubois believes he should have been crowned world champion, but Bellew disagreed, as he tweeted saying it was an illegal punch.
The Liverpudlian followed up by accusing Dubois of quitting, which is something Bellew also believed after his defeat against British rival Joe Joyce in 2020.
"Spew it once and you’ll spew it again is also another fact!" Bellew said.
But, Dubois has now responded, telling talkSPORT: "They're all haters, they sound like haters.
"You've got to know who your enemies are right now, so what they've got to say is expected really, we knew before that."
And in terms of how he feels now that he has had time to process what happened in his fight with Usyk, Dubois said: "I'm gutted still.
"I believe I should be world champion right now and I feel like I've been cheated out of that."
There have been suggestions that even if the punch hadn't been ruled to be too low, Usyk would have made it back to his feet in time for the referee's count.
But, Dubois disagrees, as he explained: "No, he wouldn't. We worked on that shot for weeks in camp. Jab, slip and then body shot.
"We pulled it off perfectly and I feel like that was my moment and it was stolen, taken out of my hands."
Dubois supports his team in their decision to appeal to the WBA for a rematch, but if that is not possible, he has welcomed a rematch with Joyce.
Asked about Joyce being a potential option for his next fight, Dubois replied: "Yeah, there's a lot of fights out there for me.
"I know I need to make improvements and go back to the drawing board.
"But when this is settled and we have a clear idea of where we're going next then whoever wants it can get it."
